Building a Public Welfare Sharing Platform to Promote Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture

Recently, the community volunteer service team incubated on the platform of Wanglaoji Herbal Tea Museum (Beijing Museum) won the Excellence Award in the Haidian District Volunteer Service Creativity Competition. This is another fruitful achievement made by Wanglaoji Herbal Tea Museum in setting up a public welfare sharing platform in Beijing to spread the "Auspicious Culture” and the culture of GPHL. At the same time, the "Peony Cloud Forum for Science, Technology and Culture Integration on International Volunteer Day" was held in the museum.


On November 24, after the long preparation, the final road show of the Haidian District Volunteer Service Creative Competition was completed. Experts in community service, sociology, public welfare, management, project evaluation and other fields, as well as Beijing Haidian District Party Committee Publicity Department (Civilization Office), Haidian District Party Committee Social Work Committee and District Civil Affairs Bureau, Communist Youth League Haidian District Committee and other departments jointly set up an evaluation committee to evaluate the 54 shortlisted projects. After the respondents’ on-the-spot display and defense, the experts scored the projects according to their feasibility, creativity, implementation plan, effectiveness, replicability and social influence, and finally selected 30 winning projects. The community volunteer service team incubated on the platform of Wanglaoji Herbal Tea Museum (Beijing Museum) won the Excellence Award in the Haidian District Volunteer Service Creativity Competition.


On December 5, the 34th International Volunteer Day, when the 5th China Youth Volunteer Service Project Competition and Volunteer Service Exchange Conference was held in Guangdong, the research group of Haidian District Volunteer Service Federation held the peony cloud forum on the integration of science and technology and culture in Wanglaoji Herbal Tea Museum to jointly discuss the research and practice of establishing volunteer service teams to participate in social governance and promote urban intelligence construction.



Since this year on, serving as the activity base of the Healthy Community Action, Wanglaoji Herbal Tea Museum (Beijing Museum), led by the Party Committee of GPHL and Wanglaoji, and the district government, has mobilized community volunteers, public welfare entrepreneurs and community social organizations and cooperated with the Party Building Innovation Research Base of the Central Party School of GPHL to offer a number of TCM health lectures for primary and secondary schools and communities, promote the traditional revolutionary culture activities, and pass down non-heritage TCM culture and promote the spirit of volunteer service through the integration of non-heritage culture and traditional Chinese opera. Through the establishment of the public welfare sharing platform, Wanglaoji has pooled volunteer resources and resources from all walks of society to advocate a healthy lifestyle and enhance the popularity of the Wanglaoji brand in Beijing.
